Spring-ing!

Gotta love a beautiful Spring afternoon that entails  good company, good food and wine all the way till 9 pm. A glass of wine can make my day just as much as a new pair of shoes. Only difference is the durability of each, I guess.
When it comes to spring wardrobe, it's safe to say that a shearling vest might not be the answer but since the weather has been kinda tricky lately, I've had to improvise on ways to keep myself warm. After a few weather surprises on my way to work, I had to unpack my winter coats again just until things get settled. I guess so much for being too positive! In any case, I am obsessing over pastels this season and you will soon discover what I have been accumulating for you all these past months. As I've said so many times before, when I like something... I reaaaalllyyyy like it, so its safe to say that my closet has definitely transitioned into a different group of shades. Give me a pink pastel blouse and I'll throw you a party... figuratively and maybe even literally. What are you obsessing over?

Yeti under the weather

A good morning would have started at 10 AM and without a congestion, hence today, was not a good day. It is not surprising that I would now get sick, considering everyone in the world is catching a cold and I am not a fan of missing out on what everyone is doing. That, and the fact that the weather has switched form 10 to 70 to 30 degrees in 5 days can do the trick. I did not wake up inspired but I knew I wanted to feel cozy and wear these new pair of earrings I got from jewelry designer/friend Tara Chial. These are earrings that require nothing major to stand out, and although they might be a tad overshadowed by my Yeti sweater, I think you all will be able to enjoy their beauty. Surely they'll glow more when Spring colors begin to populate the racks but for now, here is my "winter" take on it. Although, besides the sweater, nothing about this outfit is really winter-like. Hmm...just like the environment has chosen to ignore the season, so have I-- Now you know why I have a cold!

Friday night is...

Friday night is date night! Or so they say... Although I haven't gone on one of those for a while. I am happy to be getting ready to go to my 2 year anniversary dinner, even if it's almost 9 months into the date. We're supposed to be cruising down the Potomac and eating a 3 course meal, I am most excited about the food part being that I've been eating soup for the last 4 days.
Perfect date night outfit for this season, lots of sparkle and an fitted skirt to make the boyfriend happy. Why not throw in a big chunky faux-fur jacket while I am in the mix? Ever saw Chewbacca wearing sequins?? Well now you have!!
